reSpace® Investor Update
January 2025
The momentum is real—2025 is shaping up to be a breakthrough year for reSpace. With the pre-sale of our first reSpaced property launching soon, strategic partnerships taking shape, and fresh developments accelerating our growth, we are hitting milestone after milestone. We’ve attracted game-changing talent, secured key collaborations, and are gearing up for an impactful capital raise. I’d also like you to be our guest for lunch with Ted and Chris Ackerley at the Columbia Tower Club (details below) to see just one of the ways we’re promoting reSpace to larger investors and community leaders.
And this is just the start. Bigger moves are coming, and you won’t want to miss what’s next. If you haven’t followed us on LinkedIn and Facebook, please use these links to follow us and share with anyone you think should know about reSpace and our mission to create hyper-affordable luxury home ownership!
Dive in to see how reSpace is redefining real estate—and how you can be a part of it.
Investor Acquisition:
Anticipating the upcoming pre-sale of our first reSpaced property, we officially closed a successful Friends & Family investment round on Wefunder! Thank you to everyone who participated in this initial funding stage. Until our next public round, we’re selectively accepting investments of $25K and higher from accredited investors. If you or someone in your network is interested, please contact us for more details.
In anticipation of our next capital raise, we recruited Paul Stanton (https://www.linkedin.com/in/pauljstanton/) to prep our team. Paul is a serial real estate entrepreneur currently working on the fundraising side of the business. Paul’s minimum raise is $100,000,000, but he values reSpace’s social impact and wants to help. Paul has completely transformed our messaging to resonate with an institutional audience.
We’ve also convened an advisory group of Family Office representatives to offer further guidance on the message and introduce us to Family Offices that invest in real estate and have a social-purpose bias. We’re very excited about our positioning for this second round of fundraising, which could commence as early as March 1.
Property Development:
Progress on The Grove continues at pace, with critical development milestones achieved this month. We have submitted final corrections and updates to civil and geotech reports to the city as the final stage of getting permits issued. In the meantime, we are preparing all of the marketing materials, campaign plans, and supporting legal documents for the presale of these suites as soon as we have permits in hand.
Additionally, we are conducting initial feasibility studies on two other properties that may be strong candidates for future reSpace development.
Operations and Technology:
We have submitted a formal letter to the Northwest MLS General Counsel clarifying that reSpace suites are not an investment security and that our model fully complies with Northwest MLS standards. This means our properties can confidently be listed on the MLS, giving brokers and buyers access to an entirely new real estate category. This step is a key milestone in legitimizing our model within the broader real estate ecosystem and ensuring seamless transactions for future buyers.
Marketing & Outreach:
reSpace is making bold moves. We’re launching a dynamic event series to bring our vision to a broader community, creating powerful opportunities to connect, engage, and grow. From major industry events to high-impact partnerships, we’re building momentum, expanding our reach, and driving demand for The Grove and future properties.
Our go-to-market strategy for reSpace 1
“reSpace 1”, now known as “The Grove,” is coming together, and some fascinating pieces are falling into place. While final refinements are still in progress, this site will be a key asset in our pre-launch campaign, strategically rolled out to different audiences as we move into pre-sales.
I’d love for you to take a sneak peek at our rough draft property website and share your thoughts. The website features an interactive virtual walkthrough, a dollhouse-style 3D tour, neighborhood maps, suite renderings, and more—all designed to bring The Grove to life. Visit www.TheGrovebyreSpace.com with the temporary password TheGrove2025.
To build excitement and grow our waiting list for The Grove and future reSpace properties, a 4×4 sign will soon be installed at the site. This will capture attention and solidify interest as we prepare to launch this next chapter of reSpace’s vision.
Meeting with Pierce County Executive Ryan Mello on Affordable Housing
This month, I met with Pierce County Executive Ryan Mello to discuss affordable housing initiatives in the region. A strong advocate for housing accessibility, Mello saw reSpace as a potential solution to support the county’s housing goals and encouraged us to explore ways to adapt our model for individuals earning 40-60% of the area median income ($36,600-$54,900).
Mello, a leader in housing policy, has spearheaded initiatives like the Maureen Howard Affordable Housing Act and remains committed to expanding housing access, addressing homelessness, and driving sustainable growth. His enthusiasm for reSpace opens the door to potential county collaboration, and we look forward to working with his office and local stakeholders to refine our approach and make a meaningful impact in Pierce County’s housing landscape.
REAPS – Keller Williams
Presenting reSpace at the Real Estate Association of Puget Sound (REAPS) event at Keller Williams on January 11th was an exciting opportunity to connect with Seattle’s most engaged real estate professionals. As the region’s largest real estate investor association, REAPS brings together brokers, investors, and industry leaders who are shaping the future of real estate.
Our presentation sparked strong interest, with about 20 in-person attendees alongside virtual participants, including brokers, contractors, and investors. The energy in the room was electric, with questions ranging from “When will you build in my area?” to “How do I invest?” This enthusiasm reinforces the demand for innovative housing solutions like reSpace.
This event was just the beginning. Our engagement with REAPS will be a key driver in building our buyer, seller, and broker waitlists while expanding outreach to real estate investors looking to participate in individual property projects. As we scale, partnerships like these will ensure reSpace remains at the forefront of the co-homeownership revolution, transforming how people invest in and experience real estate.
Inman Connect New York 2025
I attended Inman Connect New York 2025 to stay at the forefront of the real estate industry’s transformation. More than just an event, Inman Connect is a movement shaping the next era of real estate. Inman Connect provided an unparalleled opportunity to learn from industry leaders shaping the future of real estate, expand my network by engaging with innovators and visionaries nationwide, and gain actionable insights that will directly benefit reSpace and the broader business community.
I forged valuable connections with industry leaders and keynote speakers, several of whom showed genuine interest in reSpace and explored ways to help amplify our visibility through publishing or broader awareness efforts. The insights, tools, and relationships gained from this event will be instrumental in positioning reSpace for success in a rapidly evolving market, empowering us to seize new opportunities confidently. This was a pivotal moment for reSpace to align with the future of real estate, not just as participants but also as innovators leading the charge. With mortgage rates stabilizing and market dynamics shifting, now is the time to adapt and lead.
