When Katrina Romatowski first became a member of the Columbia Tower Club, she found herself standing before the wall of founders, studying the names of those who had shaped the Puget Sound region. These were the visionaries—the individuals who had defined how we live, work, and play in this vibrant community. They had built businesses, led industries, and fostered spaces for the next generation to connect and thrive.

At that moment, she was reminded of Sir Isaac Newton’s famous words: “If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.” It struck her—what if today’s young leaders and aspiring change-makers could hear directly from the giants of our region? What if they could learn from the stories, insights, and lessons of those who had paved the way?

From this idea, Shoulders of Giants was born. Katrina created this event to bring together influential leaders from across the region—those who have shaped industries, transformed communities, and left lasting legacies.
